After School ProgramWe have an afterschool/summer program for children in grades 1 - 5.The focus of these programs is academic, language based, with all children engaged in homework activities when they first arrive. There is a very low staff ratio. Children are also afforded the opportunity to engage in enrichment activities, where they can be creative and learn from each other. There are field trips and performances for their families and the children participate in all celebrations at The Literacy Center. The atmosphere is relaxed, yet the students receive intensive instruction. Our teachers are in contact with the daytime classroom teacher and are able to accommodate special homework requests.
