Adult Basic Education
Adult Basic Education classes are for adults who want to improve their reading, writing, and math skills. Do you have difficulty reading advertisements and newspapers? Do you struggle to understand the words on an application? Perhaps you have trouble reading pamphlets from your doctor, or you want to be able to help your children with their homework? If so, Adult Basic Education classes can help you.
In order to place you in the best class for your needs, you will be given a simple test at registration. After that initial assessment, you will be assigned to a class based on your goals and your current level of proficiency.
Once you are a student of The Literacy Center, you can utilize our computer lab and resource libraries at any time during our hours of 8:30am to 8:30pm, Monday through Thursday, and 8:30am to 12pm on Friday.
