The Steven Reynolds

Community Impact Fund

The Steven Reynolds Community Impact Fund was established in honor of the enduring legacy of one of our community's most generous and committed members. The fund was created in loving memory of Steve by his wife, Terese, and two sons, Patrick and Thomas.  The fund is meant to continue his commitment to help those in need after Steve passed away suddenly from Myocarditis on January 25, 2019. The fund exists to assist students of The Literacy Center and their families who are experiencing temporary hardship and need additional resources to pay for essential items such as rent/housing, food, utilities, or other critical needs.

Steve Reynolds had a deep commitment to making his community a better place and improving the lives of others. While attending Georgetown University, Steve learned the Jesuit values of sharing gifts, pursuing justice, and advocating for the poor and marginalized, which he embraced for the rest his life.  In particular, he had a passion for bettering the lives of immigrants and refugees.  Steve pursued this passion by providing pro bono legal work for immigrants and refugees, and serving in leadership roles with numerous charitable organizations, in addition to his other roles of husband, father, and General Counsel of Sensata Technologies. This fund exists to continue the work started by Steve in his lifetime through the mission of The Literacy Center and their community partners.

All contributions made to this fund will be used exclusively to provide financial assistance to individuals and families in need. The Literacy Center is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization.
