Reception

• Availability after 5pm in the evening – Monday, Wednesday, every other Thursday

• Answer phone and make appointments, talk to students coming in to practice English

 

Events & Fundraising

• Assist the Executive Director with imagining and hosting events that help raise awareness of literacy and adult education

• Help write grants and identify sources of funding (research)

• Assist with preparing and mailing annual appeals, stuffing envelopes, and sending thank you cards

Film & Graphic Arts

• Help develop flyers for outreach and special events

• Help develop promotional videos for TLC

Workshop facilitator

• Run 1 -2 hour workshops for small groups of students on specific topics – workshops can be repeated

• Suggested topics include use of smartphone and email, resume writing, job interview practice, Rosetta Stone, Duolingo, college applications and financing info, online job applications

 

Building and Grounds

• Painting, Landscaping, installation and removal of window air conditioners (small) general cleaning and maintenance

 

Technology

• Help with Tech plan, Update Ipads, update desktop computers, train staff on use of Ipads and Smart TVS
